Bangladesh has emerged as one of the fastest growing market for meat, eggs and dairy products in South Asia. With a population of over 165 million, the 8th biggest in the world and a rising income which reached US$1,358 GDP Per Capita, the demand is expected to accelerate further. The Government has initiated incentives in transforming the livestock and dairy industry to provide food security, generate export earnings and livelihood for a growing population.
As a result, the livestock sector is currently undergoing a rapid transformation process through the adoption of modern farming systems and improving downstream processing industry. This has spurred the demand for modern breeding and farming systems, improved feed production, storage and formulation, and animal health and nutrition supplies.
